It's okay if your strength looks different in this season

"Strength can look different from day to day, hour to hour, or even room to room. I hope you know it is okay if your strength looks a little different in this season."

There will be times in your life where your strength will be colorful and resonate and others will tell you, “you are strong.” But there will also be times where you are not even sure how you made it from one day to the next, but I promise you, that too, is strength. In the quiet hours of the morning, in the busy hours of the afternoon, Light is still finding you, pouring strength into you moment into moment.

Even as you grow older and you feel and see things change about yourself, you are still being strengthened within. You may not be able to wake up as early in the morning or have the same amount of energy that you had at some point in your youth, but that does not mean you are weak now. Your body may have changed, but your heart and your mind have changed too. You have learned to process things. You have learned to deal with things that you never imagined you would make it through. You have grown in your capacity to love, to learn, to heal. You have climbed an entire range of mountains you never thought you would be able to climb.

Be mindful of this on the days or in the seasons where your strength does not seem as prominent. Remember this when you are surrounded by people who seem to be more aware of their strength than you could ever be.

Strength can look different from day to day, hour to hour, or even room to room.

So I hope you know it is okay if your strength looks a little different in this season. I hope you know that the fire inside of you is still there, even if it burns quietly, and gently, as candles do on windowsills. I hope you know that it is okay to not feel the same and to notice all of the things that have changed, because all of this, absolutely all of this is very real. I hope you also know that even in the rush of it all, there is time and grace to heal. There is time to take your time here, seeking peace beyond understanding, even if you do not feel you are all the way there yet. Breath after breath, depth into depth, the steps that you take not only matter, but they reveal the quiet strength that has been in you all along, and has been growing ever since.
